SAVOR SUMMER | Source Yoga

August, 2023

I’ll keep this short and sweet, and I promise not to talk about fall too much yet – we still have several weeks of summer left!

In fact, I invite you to savor summer with Lori’s upcoming Lavender Farm Day Retreat, and…file away in the back of your mind some really great fall offerings to look forward to. Then go back to lying in your hammock, or digging in your garden, or reading a great summer book, or going to see the Barbie movie (recommended).

I’m sure you know by now that Source Yoga aims to be a studio, community, and refuge that emphasizes rest and slowing down as an antidote to the general hustle and bustle of the culture we live in. I will never stop talking about the benefits of slowing down, breathing a bit more deeply, settling our nervous system, and creating space for our body, mind, and heart to be.

We have some beautiful opportunities to experience deep rest and curiosity about ourselves coming up – both this month and into fall.

  • Source Yoga instructor Lori Ferry will be offering a lovely one day retreat up in her neck of the woods August 18th – at Fleurish Lavender Farm near Sequim, Washington. Take a day (or a weekend) in this beautiful setting to rest, restore, move, breathe, walk, and slow down with the expert guidance of Lori. Learn more here.
  • Join Megan Tuche for an afternoon of deep rest in her September workshop: Making Space for Intentional Rest in the studio on September 16th.
  • Explore a deeper understanding of how your body works and gain insight and wisdom through thoughtful attention in Karen’s 3 week series Somatic Yoga: Ligaments and Fascia, beginning September 23rd.
  • Save the date! Fall Retreat to Harmony Hill with Erin – October 19th-22nd. More info coming soon.

May you enjoy these last weeks of summer with sunshine, water, community, play, and rest.
