When should I attend postnatal yoga classes?
It is recommended when you and your doctor or midwife decide that you are ready to start. Usually, most mamas begin yoga classes 6-8 weeks postpartum attending classes on a regular basis but again it is dependent on the individual and care provider. Open to all levels.

What can I expect from a postnatal yoga class?
The Mom & Baby postnatal yoga class is geared to the new mom and baby connection and spending time together. Class begins with about 5 minutes of check-in time with each new mom introducing selves, baby, and sharing any thoughts, concerns that come with being a new mom. Seated meditation connecting with baby, followed by gentle warm-ups, baby massage, standing postures with or without baby being held, a gentle cool down, deep relaxation finished with namaste. Each new mom is encouraged to do what they need to in order to take care of their new baby: feeding, changing diapers, and crying is expected and inevitable. So, enjoy your time being one on one with your baby and being in a community of other new moms just the way you and your baby are. Infants and crawlers welcome.
What class card/membership should I buy if I want to come on a regular basis?
Our most popular class card is the Pre/postnatal card, 8 classes valid for 6 months, cost $100. Some also like to take advantage of the New Student Special $49 for 1 month of unlimited yoga (less than $2 a day). All class packages and memberships are valid at both studio locations.
When can I start attending regular classes?
When you and your doctor or midwife advise you and your body feels ready to take on more physically. It is generally after 8 weeks postpartum when you are ready to attend a class. We encourage that you take time to gently reconnect to your new body in a new way because there have been many changes and it is important to listen and respect where your body is in the postpartum stage. Many of your ligaments are still loose, and your core needs to build more strength and stability. Take it slow and easy and when the time is right you will know.
