Practicing yoga at home has it’s joys and challenges…join Jeni Martinez for an upcoming workshop: Building a Home Yoga Practice
Dear Source friends,
So last week I was wearing a sundress and today I have on a wool sweater. Welcome to PNW spring! Despite the current chilly weather, we all know that warmth and sun are around the corner, and with it longer days and the sometimes frenetic energy of summer, when we don’t want to waste any of that precious sun. I can feel it coming.
I have a graduating senior this spring, and the momentum of May into June and then the blip of summer until he leaves for college makes it feel like I can barely get my feet under me. I know it’s going to go by so quickly. My mind spins a little thinking about all of the changes that are coming, and I feel a bit fluttery thinking about taking it all in, a low level anxiety about savoring this time with my kid. I keep catching myself tearing up at odd moments thinking about what is ahead. It’s a tender feeling, but good too. I’m excited for what’s ahead. Time feels so limited though.
It feels kind of how we all might drink summer in – in big gulps, trying to savor every moment before it goes away and we descend into the big dark again. Yep. I definitely could use some grounding this season.
Maybe you feel similarly?
