“The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members.” ~ Coretta Scott King

I’ve always felt the generous and compassionate actions of the Source Yoga community. You show up for each other, you contribute generously when we ask, and you make a difference in small and big ways within your communities outside of the studio.

Thanksgiving each year has been an opportunity to practice together, but also to gather our resources and make a difference in our greater Tacoma community. This year, the recipient of our collective contributions will be the Food Pantry at Tacoma School of the Arts (SOTA), an innovative high school within Tacoma Public Schools that draws arts-focused students from all over the city. Their food pantry has been a valuable and needed resource to support the wellbeing of students.

This Thursday, join Erin Joosse for a Thanksgiving morning accessible Level 1 practice either in the North Tacoma studio or online! This class is no cost. We ask for items or cash donated at the Source studio, or you can make an online monetary donation here.

Ways to contribute:

  • Preregister for in studio or online class. We have just a few spots left in studio – lots of room online. Link to sign up below.
  • Bring non-perishable snacks and other items this week to the Source Yoga studio – great options are: Instant lunch/breakfast friendly foods, Juices and bottled water, cereal and cereal bars, prepackaged & sliced fruits and veggies, single packaged crackers, granola bars, fruit cups/applesauce, and paper/plastic utensils.
  • Bring a CASH donation to the studio. Cash donations will be used to purchase items most needed.
  • Make an online donation to SOTA (Tacoma School of the Arts) here.
  • Donations accepted through Saturday, 11/26 (we will be in the studio for Small Business Saturday!)
