Practicing Pranayama with Shari Larson

3 week online morning series 

Tuesdays/Thursdays 8-8:30am 

September 21st – October 7th

If this past year has taught us anything it’s how important the breath is. During times of stress our breath can be impacted creating breathing patterns that trend toward counterproductive. Our nervous system revs up and we get stuck in the pattern of anxiousness and overbreathing. 

There are things we can do to help support our nervous system, slow our breath and come back to healthier rhythms. 

In this series we will explore the following: 

  • What is functional breathing? 
  • How functional breathing stimulates better tone in our vagus nerve? 
  • What do the ancient yoga texts actually say about breathing? 
  • Where do we find our Prana? 
  • How can we bring our breath into our practice? 

My hope is that we are learn a little more about our breath and how we can support optimal health. This series will include discussion, gentle movement and gentle breathing practices, accessible to everyone.
