Practical Yoga: Understanding the Eight Limbs of Yoga

A 4 week online series with Skye Deuel

October 11th – November 1st, Wednesdays, 6-7:30pm

The Eight Limbs of Yoga are one of the foundational concepts of yogic philosophy. These concepts are a blueprint for how to allow a deeper understanding of oneself through separating from our thoughts and past conditioning. These principles are a guide on how to move through the world with integrity and awareness. In this four-week online series with Skye, you will learn about the origin of the Eight Limbs and how to use them to navigate in our modern world.

Week 1: Origin of the Eight Limbs of Yoga & The Yamas (ethical precepts)

Week 2: The Niyamas (internal observances) & Asana (physical practice)

Week 3: Pranayama (breath practice) & Pratyahara (sense withdrawl)

Week 4:  Dharana (concentration), Dhyana (meditation), and Samadhi (oneness)

Sliding Scale Pricing: $60/$90/$120

Why sliding scale? We want our classes and offerings to be accessible for all. By offering a sliding scale of rates, we offer different options that work for different budgets. Equity pricing works if those that have easy access to financial resources pay at the higher tiers, so that those with less access to resources can choose the lower tiers, and we are still able to meet the financial needs of our business operations and support sustainable wages for teachers.

Supporting Rate – $120 Pays for you and supports someone who needs to pay at a lower rate
Sustaining Rate – $90: Pays for you
Supported Rate – $60: Contributes to your participation and is supported by the generosity of the community
