Physical movement is an activity that has always made me feel at home. With over 20 years of dance experience (hip-hop & ballet) movement allows me to express myself more dynamically and creatively than any other art form.

However, my yoga journey did not begin until after having my son in 2018. After giving birth, I wanted to return to an active lifestyle that respected the physical and mental recovery process I was experiencing. I then noticed this ancient practice had offered me tools to cope with personal trauma through working with energy and practicing spiritual principles. I wanted to share this with people! In October of 2019, I pursued my 200-hour yoga certification through Uplifted Yoga to start my teaching expedition. February of 2021 my passion for recovery and trauma led to my certification in trauma-informed yoga through Yoga Behind Bars.

For me, yoga means coming back to who we were before the world/society screwed us up. Learning the things that we are instead of what we are not.

When I teach, I strive to create a space for students to express themselves and find their power.

“We Chant, We Learn, We Move!” is my mantra for what to expect from my classes. We discuss yoga philosophy, explore somatic movement, breathwork and mudras to synchronize the energetic body. Followed by meditation techniques to seal the bond between the mind, body, and spirit.
